The Exploits of Moominpappa
Described by Himself
Set down and illustrated by TOVE JANSSON

Followers of the Moomins will be prepared for the Unbelievable becoming the Possible, and for the fascination of a world of fantasy where anything will happen if you are prepared to accept it.

Some mention has been made of the memoirs which Moominpappa was endeavoring to write. Now the tale can be told and here is a new Moomin book, with all the delights of its predecessors, and many new characters.

As Moominpappa would say: 'My life, I decided, should be quite unlike anybody else's. It is really extraordinary the friends I have made: for instance, the Joxter, lazily poetical and poetically lazy; the Muddler, shy, fumbly, jumpy, and almost enthusiastically friendly; Edward the colossal Booble, so often trampling people down but always conscientiously paying for their funerals; the terribly duty minded Hemulen Aunt who gets carried away by Adventure, and many others.'

This edition has Moominpappa's original preface now translated for the first time, and a number of new drawings in the best imaginative vein that Tove Jansson so well exploits.

As the Yorkshire Post said of the first edition: 'For fun and fantasy the fabulous Moominpappa takes a lot of beating!'
