Finnegans Wake, the last great work of the most influential writer of the twentieth century, is a mighty allegory of the fall and redemption of mankind.

For this edition, the multitudes of small corrections Joyce himself made in the finished book just before his death, which were previously included as an appendix, have been incorporated in the text.
